Letter of Introduction
Welcome! I hope you all have had a wonderful summer. I am looking forward to a fantastic year with everyone here at ____Elementary. I have the privilege of working as a __teacher in __teacher name __ grade classroom.
My decision to become a teacher was driven by a desire to make a positive difference in the lives of all students. After being blessed with the opportunity to raise my two boys, I am ready to pursue my passion for teaching. As an older adult I have had a wonderful life with my own boys and now I would love to encourage, uplift, and embrace the challenges and rewards of becoming a caring and compassionate teacher who adheres to best practices and holds high (yet attainable) expectations for all students.
My teaching style is still being developed as I work through my college program and benefits by learning from my mentor teacher here at _name of school_. Much of my training has focused on teaching a diverse set of students and I am excited to put this training to work. I am a strong advocate of hands-on learning and adapting lessons plans to help students gain a greater depth of knowledge. I believe in using technology as a tool to help facilitate and accommodate any adaptation a student needs to learn, or articulate his or her knowledge of an assignment. I know the importance of using different teaching strategies to address the learning styles and cultural differences of the wonderfully diverse population within our class. I will encourage all students to develop and cultivate relationships with each other through encouraging one another and respecting each other’s differences.
Student success is my primary focus which involves helping students to embrace their own goals for success on an individual basis while in a positive, encouraging and safe environment. My passion is to create a classroom where every student will be eager to come to school and excited be a part of actively engaged learning in the classroom. I am honored to have the opportunity to work with you and your student this year ___teaching with _name of teacher_
